Hampshire County Junior Badminton Squad trains at Westgate Badminton Centre throughout the year on a Sunday morning. The sessions are run by Mark Peckham (Head Coach) and are designed to improve skills, footwork and fitness. During each 2 hours session, players typically do an hour of shot practice and fitness drills followed by match practise, but this can vary from week to week.
Session Times
09.00 – 11.00 – Session 1, as per coach’s selection
11.00 – 13.00 – Session 2, as per coach’s selection
Hampshire Junior teams compete in the County Shires League. In the 2025/26 season, Hampshire had two teams, in the U15/16 and U18/19 age groups. For more information about the league and for results click below.

The juniors are selected every year to train and play for Hampshire. The training sessions on Sunday are by Invite Only, following a selection criteria, which include:
